tumorigenesis in canine and human cancers
Research Description
As a veterinarian working towards my PhD in the Comparative and Molecular Biosciences graduate program, I am interested in the field of comparative oncology. In particular, my studies investigate the metabolic processes integral towards driving tumorigenesis in canine and human cancers. Of the many cancers that are shared between humans and our canine companions, I have focused my research on aggressive angiosarcomas in humans and hemangiosarcomas in dogs. Other interests of mine include spending time with family and friends, running, swimming, hockey, and music.
